3 Haircare Tips You Need to Be Doing
"I even go as far as traveling with a set of silk pillow cases. My hair shouldn’t have to suffer on a hotel’s cotton pillow case."
Taking care of your hair a responsibility. Long hair is a lot to look after. I am so grateful for my long locks so I am very conscious of my hair loss and breakage. Never being excessively rough with my hair, avoiding harsh products, stocking up on the hair masks and surrounding my hair with everything silk.
Step 1: Never A Towel
After a scalp scrub, lathering of shampoo, and moisturizing condition, its time to dry hair. Once I set out of the shower I never use the towel i use on my body to dry my hair. A reqular towel is split ends central. Only use a hair towel. I like the Aquis Rapid Dry Hair towel. The turban prevents Hygral Fatigue—the stretching and swelling of wet hair that makes it vulnerable to frizz, split-ends and damage. The hair you’re left with is stronger and smoother.
Step 2: Only A Silk Scrunchie
I rarely use an elastic hair tie, unless the hair style calls for it. A silk scrunchie is the only way to tie up your hair. Thankfully they are made in the must beautiful assortment of color and can make a look really come together. My favorite hair scrunchies are from Crown Affair. Whether I’m just hanging around the house and want to tie up my hair, working out, or want to create a cute up-do, I use the Crown Affair silk scrunchie. They aren’t harsh on the hair like an elastic and silk prevents breakage. Buy a stock full of these.
Step 3: Beauty Sleep for Your Hair
Silk's smooth surface is more delicate and creates less friction than cotton, which means less breakage and frizz. It also absorbs less product from your skin as you sleep so this is a 2 in 1. A silk pillow case is the number one secret of girls with beautiful hair. They only lay their tresses on silk. I even go as far as traveling with a set of silk pillow cases. My hair shouldn’t have to suffer on a hotel’s cotton pillow case.
